• Name of the Post: Medical Officer ‘E’ (Surgical Oncology)
• Level: Level 12 [Pre-revised PB-3 (Rs.15600-39100) + Rs.7600 GP]
• Pay Scale: Rs. 78,800/- Level 12, Cell 1 + Allowances applicable
• Maximum Age: 45 years (Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years  ; OBC: 3 years  ; PWD: 10 years (additional 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC)  ; Ex-Servicemen: Length of service in Armed Forces plus 3 years (additional relaxation as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC).
• Educational Qualification & Experience:
• M.Ch. / D.N.B. (Surgical Oncology) or equivalent post graduate degree recognized by National Medical Commission with 1 year experience in Surgical Oncology either during M.Ch training or Post M.Ch. (OR) M.S. / D.N.B. (General Surgery) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognised by National Medical Commission with 3 years’ post M.S./ D.N.B. experience in Surgical Oncology. Candidates with less than 3 years’ experience after post graduation will be considered for lower grade, if there are no suitably experienced candidates.

  • Candidates will be initially screened based on the information provided in the online application form and may be called for an Interview, Written Examination, or Skill Test.

• Educational Qualification: Mark sheet & Passing Certificate of the final examination.
• Experience Certificates:

• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Valid income certificate (Government of India format).
• Persons with Disability: Physical Disability Certificate.
• PwBD: Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability & Mental illness with disability, i.e., Specific Learning Disability (SLD).
• Government Employees: Candidates working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Bodies/Semi-Government Organizations/Public Sector undertakings must obtain permission from their Head of Organization to apply for the post and produce the same at the time of Written Examination/Skill Test/Interview.
• Referees: Candidates must list three referees who have been associated with their training or supervision of work.
• Eligibility Standards: Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to set minimum eligibility standards/benchmarks and limit the number of candidates for Written Examination/Interview/Skill Test based on factors such as the number of vacancies and percentage of marks in Graduate/Post Graduate Degrees.
• Cut-Off Marks: TMC reserves the right to set minimum eligibility standards/cut-off marks (Group/Stream/Discipline/Category-wise) for selecting candidates for final selection.
• Right to Restrict Candidates: TMC reserves the right to limit the number of candidates called for Written Examination/Interview/Skill Test based on qualifications and experience.
• Eligibility Verification: If it is discovered at any recruitment stage that a candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria or has provided false information, their candidature will be cancelled. Shortcomings detected after appointment may result in immediate termination.
• Discretion of TMC: TMC reserves the right not to call candidates for Written Examination/Interview/Skill Test without assigning any reason.
• Canvassing: Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.
• Age and experience will be considered as of 10.08.2024.
• Reservation of Posts: Reservation for posts under various categories will be applicable as per Government Rules.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years ; OBC: 3 years  ; PWD: 10 years (additional 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC)  ; Ex-Servicemen: Length of service in Armed Forces plus 3 years (additional relaxation as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC).
• Unreserved Posts: Age relaxation is not applicable for reserved candidates if the post is for the unreserved category only.
• TMC Employees: Maximum age relaxation of 5 years for TMC employees, including those on a temporary/project/contract basis.

Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre (BHU), Varanasi, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Varanasi, BBCI, Guwahati, based on the needs of the units.
• Transfer Policy: Selected candidates must serve a minimum of 5 years at the respective location before requesting a transfer to other TMC units. However, TMC management reserves the right to transfer staff as needed.
• Contractual Appointments: TMC may offer appointments on a “Contract Basis” for a fixed term with consolidated remuneration.
